We are looking forward to the coming week at CHMS. On Monday we will host girls and boys basketball games against Southwest Middle. Both teams won their first games against Carmel this past week and we thank the great crowds who came out to support the kids. We hope to see many of you out on Monday again!
On Tuesday we will have our first Orchestra concert of the year and on Thursday our Band will perform. Also on Thursday we will be hosting the superintendent, Ann Clark. She will be on campus at 5:30 PM for “Coffee with the Superintendent.” I hope some of you are able to come out and speak with her about anything weighing on your minds in public education and CMS.
A connect Ed was sent this past week to inform families that PowerSchool has continued to have glitches across the state. As a result our progress reports are going to be a bit delayed. We only send reports home to struggling students. However, we will also send notice when grades are updated so that parents can go online and see current averages for all classes. All of this should be done on or before December 16. If you have any questions or concerns about grades, please contact your child’s teacher or grade level counselor.
Wishing a Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating this week!

Thank You - Jan Lauro
Thank you to the CHMS community and Family who have been so supportive of Jan Lauro, our beloved chorus teacher, through these past few weeks. Many of you know, Jan's husband, Craig Lauro, has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant and is now post procedure. Every day is a success and a blessing. Please send your prayers and keep thinking positive thoughts for Jan, Craig and the Lauro family.
