What an exciting day we had last Friday! Our 8th grade students got to participate in a pep rally with special guest, Hollywood recording artist, Bea Miller! Community House was selected for this honor as a result of last year’s Stand Up Speak Out campaign against bullying. CHMS had more students complete pledge forms last year than any other school which resulted in our school hosting this year’s kick-off for Anti-Bullying in CMS. So, not only is our middle school the top performing academic growth school in the state we also have a building filled with students who care about one another and are willing to stand up for those in need. I am so proud of our students!!
This coming week we have a home softball and volleyball game on Monday and a home football game on Thursday. Come out and support your Cavs!! And don’t forget that Wednesday is a school holiday in recognition of Yom Kippur. Finally, 7th and 8th grade curriculum night will be on Tuesday, September 29 at 6 PM. Mark your calendars and again, we apologize for having to change the date.
Have a great weekend,
Jamie W. Brooks
