Report cards went home at the end of last week. If for some reason you did not get a copy of your child’s grades, please contact your child’s first block teacher or counselor.
This week we have the early release day on Wednesday, April 20th. Students will dismiss at 1:15 PM. Also, be reminded that Monday, April 25th is now a school day (an A-day) as a result of bad weather back in the winter. Please make sure that your calendars are updated with both of these dates.
Car pool parents, we continue to get complaints from surrounding neighborhoods and passers-by regarding those of you who refuse to follow the car pool procedures. I cannot stress enough the importance of recognizing school rules and policies that are designed for the safety of our students. I know that many of you have busy mornings, we all do, but the rules still apply to busy parents. Please DO NOT drop your child off in the middle of Community House Road or in the entry of either Weston Glen or Highgrove. All car pool parents are expected to proceed through the same line, regardless of whether you are running late or simply do not like our policy. I hate to sound flippant, but I am extremely frustrated that after all the friendly reminders I continue to receive phone calls and emails regarding CHMS parents not following procedures. Thank you to those families who always do the right thingJ
Have a wonderful week,
Jamie W. Brooks

Art by Me
Students enrolled in 2nd semester art classes will be participating in the Art By Me fundraising program. You will have an opportunity to purchase professionally-made products from your student's original artwork, and at the same time help our school earn extra money. After Spring Break, art students will receive a special "Tear and Share" preview postcard featuring artwork they have been working on in class. These postcards will provide ordering information. All orders will be due back to CHMS by Wednesday, April 13, with checks made payable to "CHMS FAB." Orders will return to the school in early May -- just in time to make a great gift for Mother's Day. Thank you for your support.
