I hope everyone enjoyed their snow day! In case you did not hear, the make up day will be this Monday. Monday will be a B day and students will have their first day with their second semester elective. If by chance roads are still bad you will need to listen to local news for any announcements of potential weather delays.
Rising AK 9th graders need to submit their registration cards to their home room teachers on Monday morning.
We have a big basketball game at home this Wednesday. Both teams will be playing our rivals JM Robinson... Boys at 5pm and girls at 6pm. Come out and support the teams!
Have a great week, Go Panthers!!

Sandy Hook Promise
You may notice students coming home with wristbands and stickers that have the words " say something" on them. This is a program sponsored by the Sandy Hook Promise for grades 6-12, how to look for warning signs, signals and threats, especially in social media, of an individual who may be a threat to themselves or others and to "say something" to a trusted adult to get help. In the morning, Volunteer students are helping to hand out wristbands and asking fellow students to identify their "trusted adult" and inform them about the warning signs to look for at school.
EGO Proctors Needed - May 31 - June 8
Community House Middle School is in need of proctors for the end of the year tests. Tests will be taking place May 31 through June 8. Each testing session is required to have a proctor. With our large size, we are in need of at least 80 proctors for each day of testing. Please visit the link below for more information and to sign up for proctoring. We cannot have successful test sessions without the help of our proctors! All proctors must be approved volunteers.

The teams compete in several qualifying rounds which define the overall team rankings. Then, the top teams compete in playoffs. Our team of 8th graders and 9th graders competed against several high school teams, and we placed in the final four in the tournament. The team also won the Motivation award at the tournament.
The Ranging Rhinos team included four 8th graders - Agnim Agarwal, Anderson Tao, Rohit Choudhary and Sachit Nayak. The team also included two former Cavaliers who are now 9th graders at Ardrey Kell - Charlotte Cheng and Bedprakash Ray.
