I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! It is hard to believe that we have less than five full weeks of school remaining! And, there are only 14 school days until the EOGs begin. Speaking of EOGs…have you signed up to proctor yet? Last year we had difficulty covering all of our testing locations and therefore had to start testing late on more than one occasion. If you have the ability to sit with us for four hours, we would greatly appreciate it. Please email
Jessica Shoup if you can assist. Thank you SO much!!
If you have not had the chance to see any of our fine arts productions, plan to come watch our drama crew in the spring performance on Friday night or Saturday night at 6:30pm. You will not be disappointed. We have incredibly talented students and teachers!
Have a great week!

New and Gently Used Book Drive
CHMS Library Science Students are participating in the NC Book Drive, "Give 5, Read 5". This NC Dept. of Instruction sponsored drive's goal is to give every elementary student a book to read over the summer. We are collecting books for the students at Nathaniel Alexander Elementary School. Amy McNelis, a CHMS 8th grade teacher, has a daughter that teaches there and said their students are really in need of books and would be grateful for any contribution. We will be collecting gently used and new elementary age appropriate books until May 20. Collection boxes can be found in the lobby of the media center. Thank you.
